What I learnt from making the task.

What I learnt from the task I have been doing for the last few months is that its not as easy as it sounds. Being a director of your own movie can be very chalenging for as a director you will need to find the right actors, camera positions, the right place and the right actions followed with the right lines.

Being a director for this short movie had taken it as a big responsability not only for the actors/actresses, but also for the audience. Being a director means that you have to find the perfect ingreadients to create something which will make the audience interested in. For example, to scare the audience with a horror movie, you need to find something that seems to look and act scary. With a comedy movie, you need to find what makes an audience laugh.

So in order for the director to creat the perfact movie, using the right ingreadients, all he/she has to do is follow along with the genre on which the moive is set out as.

Being a director can also be difficult with choosing the right actors/actresses for they must act the way the director directs them too. Sometime it can be a little difficult for the actors and actresses to follow along, which is why the director must make sure he/she chooses the right actors/actresses who will follow along the director without any trouble of making the movie.

I have also experienced what being a camera person is like. It is not easy as it sounds. First of all, the camera person must make sure the camera is in the right position with a perfect screen shot to make sure it's not too blurry or too dark. Sometimes in wet wheather, the camera person has to make sure the amera is covered with an umbrella or anything to prevent the equiptment from being wet or damaged. The camera that the camera person holds, in the eyes of the person who holds the camera. So whenever there is a scene where someone walks from one place to another, they must sure that the camera is moving in the direct same way to where the actor/actress are moving. It also takes speed when the camera is being moved to follow the actor/actress for there could be some scenes where the actor/actress is running fast or walking slow. This also makes the movie act out as well for the movement of the cmera that is following the actor/actress shows its sort of mood towards the movie. For example, if the actor or acress is running, the camera will be moved quickly to follow the actor/actress so it makes the audience see how clear...well, maybe not always too clear, but it does sho that there could be some action or drama in the movie as it follows along. And we also have the 190 degree rule which must be placed properly other wise the audience will ed up becoming confused by the wrong angles where the actor/acress it facing.

Being a editor is basicly one of the most most most important jobs in creating a movie which I had experienced. Being an editor is also very difficult work considering how careful you must be with keepin a close eye for any mistakes that could be edited out of the scene. The editor must also make sure that the sound is right for the audence to hear clearly and to cut our any mistakes that could be visual. The editor could also add the right sound effects for the movie which matches the scene and the mood of the movie. The sound effects are a huge part in the movie for they give us a good clue of where the scenen takes place. For examle, if the scene took place on the each, you would hear sounds of seagules and the wves from the sea.

So as I have typed here, each job in the movie had it's own important part in making a movie. You could it's like puting 3 ingreadients and mixing them together to create something delicious. I have learnt by these tasks on how they act differently about thier difficulties and thier pupposs.
